Jax State Expands Business Partnerships With The Addition of AmFirst and Birmingham OBGYN

Jacksonville, AL (01/06/2025) — Jacksonville State University (Jax State) is excited to announce the addition of two new partners to its ever-expanding list of business partnerships: AmFirst and Birmingham OBGYN. These partnerships further underscore Jax State's commitment to fostering meaningful collaborations that enrich the university, its partners, and the communities they serve.

Since the first business partnership was created in 2020, Jax State's partnership program has grown to include a total of 29 organizations, a diverse group representing education, healthcare, industry, government, and nonprofit sectors. Together, these organizations and Jax State are paving the way for greater educational access and workforce development across Alabama. The program has already had a significant impact. Through these partnerships, Jax State has awarded 989 scholarships to 470 individual students, empowering students to pursue higher education while creating opportunities for professional growth and community impact.

Jax State's partnerships provide partner organizations and their employees with access to exclusive benefits, including scholarships, tuition scholarships and personalized educational pathways. Current partners span a variety of industries and include chambers of commerce, healthcare providers, financial institutions, and more.
