Student Media Members Named Finalists for Prestigious National Recognition

Seven student contributors to Jacksonville State University's student-run news outlet, The Chanticleer, and the student-run radio station, WLJS 91.9 FM, have been named finalists for Pinnacle Awards by the College Media Association. The Pinnacle Awards recognize excellence in student contributions in news and media production on college campuses.

Jacksonville State University | JSU Coordinator Lands Grant for Teachers to Attend CORE

Weaver Elementary School was recently awarded a $750 grant from M&H Valve, part of the McWane Foundation, to send 10 teachers to CORE Academy as a collaborative effort between Jennifer McCullars, JSU MPA student and CORE conference coordinator in the Institute for Innovation, and Summer Davis, principal at Weaver Elementary School.
