Honors Program participates in annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup
On September 21, members of the Jacksonville State University (Jax State) Honors Program collected more than 500 pounds of garbage from the Jacksonville creek in just two hours. The 11 students were participating in the annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup, during which volunteer groups picked up litter scattered across Alabama's waterways and beaches.

Social Work Student Morgan Ingram Receives Young Fierce Woman Award
Jacksonville State University student Morgan Ingram from Southside, AL, was recently honored with the Young Fierce Woman Award by the Etowah County Chamber at the Advancing Women to the Top Professional Development Conference. The event took place on July 18 in Gadsden, recognizing Ingram's significant contributions to her community. The Young Fierce Woman Award celebrates young influential women who inspire and encourage rare, courageous efforts while demonstrating excellent character and accomplishments in their community. Ingram's dedication to service and leadership embodies these qualities, making her a deserving recipient of this prestigious honor.
